1 Meqabyan

7 chapters from the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo canon translation, with narrated audio for every chapter.

1 Meqabyan (Ethiopian Maccabees) is found only in the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo canon and, despite the name, is not one of the Greek books of Maccabees. It tells of a pagan king who persecutes the faithful and of the martyrs who resist him, then turns to teaching on sin, judgment, and God's mercy.
