2 Meqabyan is the second of the three Ethiopian books of Meqabyan, unrelated to the Greek Maccabees. It follows a king who oppresses Israel and his repentance, and moves into teaching on obedience, the resurrection, and the fate of the wicked. It is canonical only in the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church.
