The Wisdom of Solomon is a Greek work of Jewish wisdom literature written in Solomon's name, probably in Alexandria in the first century BC. It praises wisdom as God's gift, warns the ungodly, and retells the Exodus as a lesson in divine justice. Catholic and Orthodox Bibles include it; the 1611 King James Bible placed it in the Apocrypha.
